The stout cisticola (Cisticola robustus) is a species of bird in the family Cisticolidae. Its natural habitats are boreal forest, moist savanna, and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland. In Kenya it is common in tall grassland with moist hollows, 1200-2500 m. Stocky buikt, boldly streaked back, unstreaked  rufous nape ; pronounced sexual size difference.
