The Hunter's Cisticolas (Cisticola hunteri) are found in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda where they inhabit tropical moist montane and high-altitude shrubland. This species is well known because of its extraordinary dueting capabilities, where two birds sing in a distinctly coordinated fashion. For example, one may sing a rolling trill while the other whistles a piping accompaniment. Duetting birds may sing together, take turns, or sing right after the other.
